Pitru Shanti & Atma Tripti
This Mahaanushthan is performed with sacred offerings and prayers dedicated to the peace and spiritual satisfaction of departed ancestors. Through Pind Daan, Shraddha and other traditional Pitru Karma, devotees express gratitude and reverence toward those who came before them. According to Hindu belief, such rituals are performed with the intention of bringing peace to the ancestral souls and fulfilling the spiritual responsibilities of the descendants toward their Pitras.
Pitru Dosh Shanti
In Vedic and astrological traditions, certain recurring difficulties within a family are sometimes associated with Pitru Dosh or unresolved ancestral influences. The Pind Daan, Tripindi Shraddha and Pitru Shanti rituals included in this Mahaanushthan are traditionally performed with a sankalp for Pitru Dosh Shanti. Devotees participate with the prayer that ancestral obligations may be fulfilled and that the family may experience greater peace, stability and auspiciousness.

The special 21 Peedhi Pitru Shanti sankalp is dedicated to honoring the wider ancestral lineage of the family. It offers devotees an opportunity to remember not only the ancestors whose names are known but also those whose names, details or exact Shraddha dates may have been forgotten over generations. Sarva Pitru Amavasya provides a sacred opportunity to collectively remember all departed ancestors, particularly those whose individual tithis may not be known or whose Shraddha could not be performed separately. The Mahaanushthan allows devotees to offer prayers with श्रद्धा and gratitude to their entire ancestral lineage.
